The Future Of This Blog

*sigh* It's been a full month of inactivity and with good reason. I've been very very busy with things both outside and inside the net. And,timewise,things are just gonna keep getting worse from here on out.

So,with with that said,I've decided to terminate this blog. I have no choice. My current schedule and living conditions prevent me from managing 4 Blogs. I had such big plans for this blog and it's regretful that I have to shut it down. But,I think this is for the best.

And just because the blogs going away,doesn't mean that it's posts will. Starting January 2019,The American Cartoon Federation will be getting a Reboot and the posts will be reposted there.

What Counts as True Retro In Gaming

First off lemmie just say that Modern M-Rated titles Suck! These games contain way way too much Extreme Swearing and Sex. That's one reason why I'm a Retro Gamer. Plus,I Hate the fact that most modern titles are basically playable Hollywood Movies.

Anyway,What constitutes as True Retro in Gaming? Answer: Everything up to Dreamcast is True Retro Gaming. Everything else beyond is modern. The only execption is the GBA,which itself is a Retro Gaming System.

I don't care if The PS2,XBox,Game Cube,ect. are over 10 years old,they don't and will Never Ever count as Retro! They are instead "Older Modern". Sure the games from those systems may be "Old" but they ain't Retro. It's more than just the graphics and sound that makes a game Retro,it's the attitude. And the attitude of the games for the mentioned systems are Modern.

And there's the answer to the question of the day!

Ideas That Might Just Help Save The WWE

WWE is in the Craphole! After 3 PPV disasters in a row (wrestlemania 35,greatest royal rumble,and backlash 2018) and RAW (and smackdown to a lesser extant) failing every week,WWE is quickly becoming Must-Not-See TV.

On the Main Roster,Stars are being missused and some even being ignored completely. Roman Reigns fails as both a Babyface And a Main Eventer. Plus we have Brock Lesnar,a part timer,as WWE Universal Champion. This dude rarely Ever shows up. And these problems are just the tip of the iceberg.

There's only one man to blame for these atrocities,and his name is Vincent Kennedy McMahon! Because of his inability to think right nowadays,The WWE is losing fans and viewers at breakneck speed and ticket sales are lower than they have ever been.

But,that's what we are gonna address today. Here are some Ideas I have that might just help save the WWE.

#1 - Turn Roman Reigns Heel and Bust Him Down To Opening Bouter: This is the first thing that must be done. As a heroic Ring Warrior and Main Eventer,Reigns is a failure. He's booed every time he appears and cursed out everytime he headlines an event. The best thing to do for the Samoan Super now is to turn him and demote him to Opening Bouter. He'll be in the first match instead of the final. Also,have Roman lose for a bit. This simple formula will help the Big Dog recover both his career And credibility.

#2 - WWE and NXT Women's Tag Team Championship: This one is desperately needed. Ever since the Women's Evolution,fans have been begging for a Women's Tag division. Why it hasn't happened yet? Blame McMahon's short sightedness. WWE and NXT have plenty of women who can form tag teams and start this division. Do It WWE!

#3 - Revive The Hardcore Championship (with the 24/7 Rule): It'd be wise for WWE to revive the WWE Hardcore Championship..and with it,The 24/7 Rule. It'll be a Smackdown exclusive title And be Intergender. This is another title that fans wanted to see return for the longest time. The revival of the WWE Hardcore Championship is guarenteed to generate ratings and ticket sales.

#4 - Give the NXT Call-ups an Equally Fair Push: The Main Roster hasn't been to kind to many many NXT call-ups. Though some have been lucky,most have not been,it all depends on whether Vince McMahon likes them or not. This practice Needs to stop. All NXT call-ups are great athletes and need to have a fair chance,and pushed equally too. NXT is WWE's future and if Vince McMahon continues treating the NXT stars like crap,WWE will Have no future.

#5 - Banning Part-Timers From Championship Oppertunities: A part-time champion is a terrible champion.Period! Part-timers de-value championships,like how Brock Kesnar is de-valuing the Universal Title. Most part-timers don't appear on TV or PPVs too often and we don't like that. We want to see our Champ's regularly. As soon as Brock Lesnar loses the WWE Universal Title,WWE needs to create a new rule Banning all part-timers from championship oppertunities.

#6 - Scrap The Scripts: This one will save the creative and writing teams headaches. Just tell the Superstars not to use certain words,jokes,or innuendos in their promo's and we're great to go. Keep things PG and/or Soft PG-13.

#7 - Cut Raw Back to 2-Hours: To Hell What Comcast Wants! We The People,We The Fans Hate the 3-Hour Raw! And while you're at it,cut your PPV's to 4 hours too. One Hour for the kickoff,the other 3 for the Main Show.

#8 - Reviving Starrcade As A PPV: Making the Starrcade Reboot a House Show was a Really Retarded Idea! Starrcade was meant to be a PPV anyways.

#9 - A Women-Only PPV: Another overdue concept. The Greatest Royal Rumble was Men-Only. So why not make the 1st ever Women's PPV a Survivor Series. It'll be the Ultimate Survivor Series.

#10 - Revisiting Old Match Concepts: In the past,both WWE and WCW had some cool Match Concepts. One such concept was WWE's Ultimate Survival Match,which was only used once and that was at Survivor Series '90. In this Match,the survivors of the Elimination matches return for 1 more Elimination Match. Another concept WWE only used once was the Wild Card Match,where 4 or 5 random wrestlers form a team andcstrive to survive. This concept started and ended at Survivor Series '95. Other concepts that can be revived are: WCW's Leathal Lottery and Battle Bowl and WCW's Doomsday Cage.

#11 - Ban Backstage Politics: Trust me,backstage politics hurt the industry..a lot.

#12 - Treat The Money In The Bank Breifcase Like A Title: Self explainatory. Things will be more interesting that way. Speaking of...

#13 - Tag Team MITB: I think It would be awesome to have a Money In The Bank match for Tag Teams.

#14 - Better Booking and Storytelling: Obviously.

#15 - Needed Changes to Wrestlers: There's just too many Wrestlers to list here. But a decent example would be Bobby Lashley. Instead of a laid-back babyface,Bobby should be a no-nonsense fighter. I'd call him Bobby "Bone Crusher" Lashley. I may make a complete list one day.

#16 - An Indy Superstar v WWE Made Storyline: A rehash of WCW's New Blood Storyline,but done better.Story will go like this: WWE's Indy made Superstars rage against Vince McMahon's treatment of them and how the WWE made guys are getting treated way better. They rebel and a war between the Indy Made Stars and WWE Made Superstars begins. The authority would be split as well,with Triple H and Shane McMahon siding with the Indy Made guys,while Vince and Stephanie would side with the WWE Made guys. Paige would also side with the Indies,while Kurt Angle would side with the WWE Made.

#17 - Mix Tag Divisions for both NXT and the Main Roster: A longshot,but wouldn't it be cool if the Mix Match Challenge was a normal thing? Definatly! Would make good television too.

#18 - WWE Queen Of The Ring: An All Women King of the Ring for NXT. The crown will also be treated as a Championship.

#19 - Listen To The Fans: Sometimes the fans are right on things,when they tell you that they don't want Roman Reigns as the Main Guy,they mean it! When fans want someone to be pushed,you guys push'em. It's Not That difficult!

And those are the ideas I have that might just save the WWE. And if Vince won't listen to me,than WWE is doomed!

Renaming the Mavericks

Anyone who has ever played the Mega Man X games,knows that when Capcom brought the game over Stateside,they changed the names of the 8 selectable Maverick bosses to make them appeal better to a Western/American Audience. Now,these US names range from good to generic to just plain childish.

So,Just for fun,I'm gonna be renaming the Mavericks from X1-X8. I'll start with the Mavericks from the first X title. Note that,for information sake,I'll be listing the Japanese names of the Mavericks along with the American ones. The only exception will be if the American name is the same as the Japanese one.

Ways To Make The (Likely) Mega Man X9 Good!

Ever since the announcements of Mega Man X Legacy Collection and Mega Man 11 back in December,It's no secret that Capcom is interested in making Mega Man X9 (if they haven't started on it already).

After the Horror that was X8,fear strikes me whenever I hear of a new entry to the X Series being teased. X8 got tons of things wrong and I fear that Capcom might repeat X8's sins with the Next title. Here are the 4 ways to keep X9 from being like X8 (ie. terrible):

1 - Give X his series back. X Needs his spotlight back. I don't give 1 Billion Shits if Zero was Supposed to be the Main character in the first place. By that logic,then X6-CM aren't canon,since X5 was supposed to be the final game in the X Series..or atleast the main X series timeline. That might have been what was planned,but the plans have clearly changed. So Don't you dare use That argument.

2 - Fair Level Layouts. No Autoscrolling Levels either. X8 was painful to playthrough Because of these factors. Alternate routes would be nice too,if you have trouble with one path,you can take an easier one.

3 - Keep Sigma the Main Villian. No one likes that little pussweed Lumine.

And 4 - Bring back the Traditional Lives System. Having Continues replace Lives in X8 was really Really annoying.

X8 was trash in terms of fun factor,thanks to the stages. Hell,I still can't progress through the game without a cheat device. But,it did have some good things about it (as overshadowed as they were). Here are the X8 elements that I'd love to see return for X9:

Rapid-Firin' Axl - Admittedly,Capcom made,the formerly lameass,Axl cool in X8,especially with his Rapid Firing guns.

The Z-Knuckle - Had a bitch of a time getting this,but I'm glad I did. The Z-Knuckle is a fun weapon for Zero,that I hope returns for X9 (and is much easier to get).

Tag Teams and Double Team Attacks - The Tag feature goes back all the way to Xtreme 2,but X8 improved upon it by adding Double Team Moves. This should return as well.

Combining Armor Parts - This was the most creative thing in the game. The ability to collect and combine various X Armor parts was sweet. Sure,I couldn't get most of them,but it's a cool concept,nevertheless.

Ladies Day - Make the Navigators Playable Again,Capcom!

Button Codes At Title Screen - Self expainatory. Unlock cool stuff by imputing button codes on the title screen.

Other things that are needed:

- X4-X6 Ultimate Armor
- 16 or 32-bit graphics.
- Mega Man X Amiibo to unlock Special Armors for X.
- Zero Amiibo to unlock Kuro Zero.
- Axl Amiibo to unlock stuff for Axl.
- A Good Story focusing on X and maybe bringing back a Classic Series character. We need more Classic stuff in X.

If Capcom does all of these And also releases the game on the Switch too (in addition to the other consoles),X9 would be pretty damn good. BTW,with all of this talk about individual Mega Man Anniversaries,got me thinking about The Ruby Spears Mega Man 25th Anniversary in 2019. You know I'll be celebrating it Fully. Well,that's all I have to say about this topic.

WWE Redo - 1994

As you all remember,I did a special called WWE Redo - 1993,where I traveled back in time and changed the course of the WWE in 1993,by mind manipulating Vince McMahon.

Well,I continue my antics in 1994. So here we go:

- We kick things off with the WWE Royal Rumble 1994. Everything's the same except for 2 things: 1 - It's the Steiner Brothers who hold the Tag Titles and not the Quebecers. And 2 - In the Royal Rumble Match,Crush is eliminated by Randy Savage. Pissed,the eliminated Crush eliminates Savage.

- The next night on RAW,Crush explains his actions - an eye for an eye. He then apologises to Savage and asks him to be his tag partner as they challenge the Quebecers for the #1 contender spot for the tag titles. Savage accepts. During the match,Crush betrays Savage and joins Mr.Fuji. 

- The Next Week,Crush explains everything. He's sick of being overlooked and wants to be on top. Crush believes that Mr.Fuji can make his dreams happen. He then treatens Randy Savage and Everyone else who dares get in his way. Savage interferes with Crush's match later that night. This starts the Savage-Crush feud,which ends at Wrestlemania X.

- In February,The Quebecers defeat the Steiners for the Tag Team Gold.

- In March everything goes on as normal.

- In Late April,Randy Savage and Shawn Michaels begin a mini-feud (started over michaels' interference in the razor/diesel intercontenental title match). This leads a Hair v Carrer Match,with Michaels' Hair put on the line against Savage's Wrestling Carrer. Randy Savage loses and remains a Commentator. He does co-host Mania with Todd Pettengill.

In May,everything goes on as normal. Well,except for the short Savage/Michaels feud. The WWF Women's division begins to grow.

In June,everything goes on as normal....except No Underfaker! Instead,Ted Dibiase introduces The Reaper,a grim-reaper themed wrestler,who he claims is the Undertaker's replacement...The "New Undertaker",if you will. Dibiase claims he got The Reaper from the same place that he got The Undertaker way back in 1990. Dibiase claims that The Reaper possesses all of the same powers that the Undertaker had,but that The Reaper is superior in every way. The Reaper is played by Brian Lee. The Reaper makes his debut a week later and is everything Dibiase says he is..except more sadistic.

- In July,everything goes on as normal.

- In August,everything goes on as normal,except at Summerslam. At the event,The Undertaker returns to fight and defeat The Reaper,instead of the Underfaker. Also The Hart Bros. Steel Cage Match is moved to the Main Event. The RAW after Summerslam,Undertaker declairs war on all of those who attempted to end him. The exceptions being The Headshrinkers and Adam Bomb (who he says have repented). The 1st body he wants to bury is Jeff Jarrett and that He'll take care of Yokozuna last. Undertaker and Jarrett have a match next week.

- In September,The Undertaker's crusade against his enemies continues. Other than this,nothing is changed.

- In October,There are only 2 changes: One Minor,One Major. First the minor: Jerry Lawler only brings ONE Mini-King to the WWF,Sleazy. Now the major...

WARNING!! WARNING!! History Changing Event In Effect!! WARNING!! WARNING!!

.....After much convincing and negotiation by (the mind-controlled) Vince McMahon,Randy "Macho Man" Savage decides to renew his contract with the WWF until the Spring of '95.

- November has a small host of changes. First off,as a thank you for resigning,Jack "The Figure-Head President" Tunney grants "Macho Man" Randy Savage One Final Post-Retirement Bonus Match against Bob Backlund. Next change is that Savage is a Color Commentator at the Survivor Series.

- Survivor Series Change #2: The Bad Guys look much stronger against the Teamsters,and they manage to eliminate Owen Hart,Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart,and "Double J" Jeff Jarrett. Shawn Michaels and (mostly) Diesel eliminate the 1-2-3 Kid,The Headshrinkers,and "British Bulldog" Davey Smith. Other that this major change,the match ends as normal.

- Survivor Series Change #3: Doink and Dink battle Jerry "The King" Lawler and his Mini-King Sleasy in a tag match at the Survivor Series. So it's not Clowns R Us v The Royal Family.

- Survivor Series Change #5: Guts N Glory does way better against the Million Dollar Team...with Guts and Glory winning.

- The final change of the month has Bob Backlund keep the WWF Championship for a longer period of time. He loses it to Diesel in early January. Other than these changes,everything goes on as normal.

In December,Bret "Hitman" Hart is granted a WWF title shot at the Royal Rumble.

And with that,the Course of WWE has changed for the better in 1994.

WWE Redo - 1993

Imagine if you had a time machine and could go back to any point in history. Imagine if you were a person with mind controling powers. You could change history. Change it for the better or for the worse.

If I had those things,I'd change the course of the #1 name in Wrestling: The WWE. I'd go back in time to one of WWE's periods and use my mind controling abilities on Vince McMahon,where I'd make him change the company for the better. With that said,Retro Talk is proud to present: WWE Redo.

Here are the changes I'd have McMahon make in 1993:

- Wrestlemania XI was concidered one of the worst 'Mania's in terms if booking. Well let's change things up shall we. Tatanka defeats Shawn Michaels for the Intercontenental Championship,thus establishing his Wrestlemania Moment (he'll lose it to Michaels at the king of the ring). Crush defeats Doink in a big way,ending their fued. Mr.Perfect defeats The Narcissist Lex Luger. The Undertaker defeats Giant Gonzalez via pinfall,thus ending their feud. Money Inc defeats The Mega Maniacs,via IRS's briefcase. Yokozuna defeats Bret Hart for the title,And Hogan is nowhere in sight.

- Hogan challenges Yokozuna for the title on RAW,but Fuji wants to humiliate Hogan at a bigger venue...namely The King of the Ring. After a big loss at the hands of Crush,Doink desides to target someone else....The Undertaker. Doink and The Undertaker begin their Joker v Batman-esque fued (which ends at summerslam in a casket match). Instead of Crush v Shawn Michaels for the IC Belt at the King of the Ring,it's Tatanka v Michaels for the gold. HBK wins cleanly. Hogan fights and loses to Yokozuna. Soon,Hogan leaves the WWE. Bret Hart still wins the 1993 King of the Ring,so that hasn't changed.

At SummerSlam,The Undertaker fights and defeats Doink in a Casket Match,ending their feud. Jerry "the King Lawler" was in Doinks corner. Speaking of Lawler,earlier in the show he faught Bret Hart (right off the bat,this time) and one by DQ,when Hart refused to release the Sharpshooter. Lex Luger defeats Yokozuna and wins the WWE World Title (though he loses it to Yokozuna at the Survivor Series,thanks to Fuji and Cornette). Giant Gonzalez stays with the WWE until Early December. Gonzalez stays a heel,btw.

- The Headshrinkers,and NOT the Quebecers,defeat the Steiner Brothers for the WWE Tag Titles. Steiners win them back in December. This is one of the most Important changes,as the 1st Dark Era of The WWE Tag Division,won't be as dark. Also Ludvig Borga feuds with Tatanka,Not Lex Luger. And Crush's heel turn is posponed until after The Royal Rumble. Speaking of turns,Doink becomes a Babyface soon after SummerSlam.

- At the Survivor Series,things go as planned,except for a few things: Yokozuna fights Lex Luger and beats him for the title,thanks to Mr.Fuji and Jim Cornette. The Foreign Fanatics v All American's match is NOT the Main Event,Plus each team has different members. The Fanatics have: The Quebecers,Ludvig Borga,and Giant Gonzalez. The All Americans have: The Steiner Bros.,The Undertaker,and Tatanka. Also the teams are renamed to Borga's Brutes and Tatanka's Braves.

- The Doinks v Team Bam Bam is a more serious affair and the show's Only 5-on-5 match. Men on a Mission and The Bushwackers wrestle as themselves,with Doink the only one dressed as...well,Doink. The 5th member of Team Bam Bam is the Brooklyn Brawler. Oh,BTW,Bastian Booger is the first one eliminated from that match. Also,The Doinks are renamed to Team Doink.

- The night after the Surviver Series,it is revealed to Cornette,Fuji,and Yokozuna that the Undertaker has been named the #1 contender for the WWF Championship at the Royal Rumble.

- Yokozuna,fearing the Undertaker,tries to put him on the shelf before the Royal Rumble. The Undertaker-Yokozuna feud begins.

- In December,The Headshrinkers lose the tag titles to The Steiner Bros (who defend them against the Harts at the '94 Royal Rumble,but lose them to the Quebecers in febuary). Feeling that he had been cheated out of his title at Surviver Series,Lex Luger announcess his entry into the 1994 Royal Rumble. Jack "The Figurehead President" Tunney grants him entry,right off the bat.

And with that,the Course of WWE has changed for the better in 1993. An interesting idea,for sure. Expect more like this in the future. Trust me,I have plans for more WWE Redo's.
