Captain N: Re-Edited Episode 9: Trouble With Tetris!

 On Metroid, Mother Brain, King Hippo, and Eggplant Wizard are watching the N-Team,in their warp wagon,dodging asteroids for fun.

Mother Brain: C'mon,asteroids,smash those N-Twerps!

The N-Team is clears the asteroid field.

Kevin: Well,that was fun. Now lets head back to the palace.

As the the N-Team is heading back to the Palace of Power,the Warp Wagon is pulled down by a powerful force.

Kevin: (cries out)Whoa! Were being pulled down by some force. I cant control the Warp Wagon.

The Heroes are about to crash into a planet. Back on Metroid, Mother Brain is very happy that the N-Team is gonna crash and burn.

Mother Brain: (laughs evilly) Rest in Peace, N-Team! Rest in Peace!

Suddenly,the screen becomes static.

Mother Brain: (annoyed) Aw c'mon,just when it was getting great! Something from that planet must be causing the interference. Hippo,Wizard. Go to that planet and find out what's up?

Hippo: Whatever you say,my Main Brain.

Meanwhile,The N-Team has just crash landed on Tetris,a square shaped world.

Kevin: Everyone alright?

Lana: Yeah,I think so. Where are we?

As the N-Team exits the Warp Wagon,they are greeted by the locals,Humans with Square features.

Kevin: Hope the natives are friendly?

They are soon greeted by Mayor Squareski,the ruler of Tetris.

Mayor: Well now,it seems we have some visitors.

He begins to examin Simon's face and touches it.

Mayor: Hmmm? We haven't seen many 'Round People' in years.

Simon: Hey,watch the face.

Mayor: We haven't had and visitors like yourself since a young man traveled hear 2 years ago. I'm Mayor Squareski,ruler of Tetris.

Lana: So that's where we are? I'm Princess Lana,Ruler of the Universe.

Mayor: Oh,Princess Lana! It truly is an honor. We must make this a Holiday!

A Tetris man carring a calender appears. The calender is fulled to the brim with holidays,with only 3 days blank.

Mayor: As Mayor, I declare this day to be "Her Royal Roundness Day"

The croud cheers.

Kevin: (smiles) These people sure love their holidays. This world seems interesting. I say we stick around.

Mayor: Wonderful,I'll grant you a tour.

The N-Team follow Mayor Squareski. Unknown to everyone,Eggplant Wizard and King Hippo have arrived and secretly follow the heroes.

Lana: My father used to tell me stories about Tetris when I was little. Tetris never joined the War due to it's non-violent nature,If I remember correctly.

Mayor: That is correct,your Roundness.

The Mayor leads the team to a Blocky car,with square wheels.

Mayor: Hop in,everyone. It's time for the tour.

Mayor Squareski drives The N-Team around the city... and with the square wheels,it's a very bumpy ride. Simon almost gets car sick.

Kevin: Excuse me, Mr. Mayor,but woudn't this ride be better with round wheels.

Mayor: Oh of course,my boy. But Rectangular and Square shapes are the thing here,round things wouldn't fit in.

They come to a trafic stop and Mega Man notices a Tower with a sign with the word 'Tetris' on it.

Mega Man: What's that Tower?

Mayor: That is Tetrad Tower,home of the Sacred Square,the very thing that Powers Tetris and keeps the planet together. It's guarded by the Keeper of the Square.

Kevin: (comes to a realisation) It must've been the force from that Square that pulled us toward this planet.

Lana: Can we check it out?

Mayor: I'm afraid the tower is off limits to tourists. But,I know of a place that isn't. You round folks hungry? I know a great place for food and entertainment.

The trafic light turns green and they go. Inside a nearby sewer,King Hippo and Eggplant Wizard have heard everything.

Hippo: Ha! Did you hear that? A new source of Power!

Eggy: Mother Brain will be thrilled when we tell her about this. We must swipe that square.

Inside the Tetrad Tower,the Keeper is guarding the outside of the Sacred Square Chamber. The only way to enter the chamber is with the Sacred Key,an item that only the Keeper has.

His name is Lyle. He's a skiny and nerdy blonde dude,with a problem with grace. he wore glasses and a square outfit. The biggest thing about Lyle,was that he was a normal human and not a Tetris Person.

Lyle is sitting in a chair,bouncing a basketball against the wall. He fails and the ball smacks him in the head,knocking him back. His boss comes in.

Boss: (annoyed) If you're gonna be taken seriously as the Keeper,if you slack off like that.

Lyle: (getting up) Y-yes sir.

Boss: You're shift is done for the day. Time to go home.

Lyle and the boss walk to the exit,which can only be opened with the Sacred Key. Lyle sticks the key into a square slot next to it and the door opens. It closes the moment he takes it out. Lyke walks into the closed door,thinking that it was open. needless to say,it hurt him.

Lyle: That smarts!

Lyle opens it again and this time he leaves the key in for a few more seconds. The door stays open and Lyle goes through before it shuts.

Meanwhile,Mayor Squareski takes the N Team to a resturaunt called Cubies. The Team and the Mayor are infront of the establishment.

Mayor: Welcome to Cubies,home of the Squarest meals in the world.

As the N-Team walks in,a Bus arrives with Lyle stepping out. Unknown to all,Hippo and Eggy are watching,both disguised as Tetris Blocks.

Eggplant Wizard: That must be the Keeper of the Sacred Square. We need that Key.

Eggplant Wizard contacts Mother Brain via comunicator.

Eggplant Wizard: Calling,Mother Brain! come in,Mother Brain!

Mother Brain: I suspect you two have found that power source?

Hippo: Not yet.

Eggy: But we Did find out what it is. It was the Sacred Block of Tetris.

Mother Brain: (proudy) Good work. Now get me that Square! (serious,yelling) And Don't Blow it,Boobs!

The transmition ends.

Hippo: C'mon!. The nerd went inside that diner!

Inside of Cubies,the N-Team are sitting at a table, having sonething to eat. The food is square and rectangular.

Simon: They really need to lay off the blocky theme. Bet the food taste like bricks.

The band starts playing,Simon is forced into a dance with one of the locals. Kevin and Lana decide to dance too. The band playing is called The Blockheads,the hippest music group on Tetris. Lyle enter and sees Lana.

Lyle: (somewhat nervous) Oh no,Lana! I gotta get out of here!

Before he can leave,he is forced onto the dance floor by one of the locals. Eggplant Wizard and King Hippo are there dancing too,disgused as a couple. Lyle is a clutsy dancer as well. The Minions of Mother Brain manage to get Lyle's Key,but Lyle has a clutz attack and makes them drop it. Lyle soon slips and bumps into Lana,losing his glasses.

Lyle: (searching for his glasses on the floor) Sorry,my falt.

Lana recognises the voice.

Lana: Lyle? Is that you?

Pit finds Lyle's glasses and hands them to Lyle. Lyle puts his glassess back on,and stands up.

Lana: (happy to see him) It is you,Big Brother!

Kevin:Brother?

Lana: Everyone this is my Brother,Lyle.

Simon: (in disbelief) You mean this clutz is related to you? Unbelievable.

Lana: (to lyle) We haven't seen each other in 3 years,not since the war began.

Lyle: I hate war and violence,so I ran away to a Tetris,a planet of peace. Here,I'm the Keeper of the Sacred Square (reaches for his key and panics when it's not there) Oh,No! The Key!

Simon spots it on the floor.

Simon: Is that it?

Lyke: Yes,yes.

Just as Eggy and Hippo (on the floor) are about to grab the Key,Simon steps on Eggy's hand and picks it up. Simon gives the Key back to Lyle.

Lyle: (relieved) Thanks. Without this,the Tetrad Tower would be inaccessable. (to lana) So how is father?

Lana: (sadly) He was,er is, imprisoned in the Mirror World.

The news shocks Lyle and makes him upset.

Lyle: And I just ran away...when father needed me? You must think I'm such a coward and a loser? If only I had the capacity to lead and fight,I woudn't suck so much.

Kevin: Don't worry,Lyle. We'll shape you up.

A montage of The N Team tring to train Lyle as a fighter to boost his self-confidence. At first it fails. But it soon starts to work. Then,Lyle is fitted for Royal clothing.

A more confident Lyle,in his royal attire,walks up to Lana and kisses her hand.

Lyle: Prince Lyle at your Service,My Lady.

Hours later,at Lyle's appartment. Lyke is in his bedroom opening up a safe.

Lyle: Make yourselves at home,guys. I just gotta put the Key into the safe.

As Lyle leaves,Eggplant Wizard and King Hippo sneak in through the window and attempt to break the safe. Eggy tries a tomato bomb,but it fails.

Eggy: Oh,no. A dud!

Hippo: Yeah,Like you!

In the living room area,Lyle and the N-team are toasting King Charles and to the Peace

Lyle: (raises glass) To King Charles and Peace in Videoland!

The whole N-Team,sans Gameboy,raise their glasses.

Lyle: You know sis,now that I've regained my sences,I think it's time I joined you in ruling Videoland. We can be Co-rulers and and a great team. We'll bring this Universe to peace for sure.

Lana is taken back by this and doesn't know how to respond.

Lana: Well..um,I..

Lyle: I gotta go check on something,I'll leave you to think about this.

Lyle leaves.

Kevin: You're not seriously thinking about having him rule with you?

Lana: I don't think he can be an effective leader,maybe in time,but not today. And I don't think I have the patience to teach him.

Unknown to The team,Lyle overhears everything. Lyle is upset. But vows to prove himself.

Back inside Lyles,bedroom,After many failed attempts by the Eggplant wizard,Hippo punches the safe open.

Hippo: Now that's how it's done!

Eggy takes the key. Lyle catches them in the act.

Lyle: As Prince of Videoland,I demand you return that Key!

King Hippo and Eggplant Wizard laugh at the prince.

Hippo: Ha! And what'cha gonna do if we don't,wimp?

Lyle tries to stop them,but he fails and gets knocked into a fold away wall bed,which closes up. The N Team arrive,but they are too late.

Hippo: Ha! See ya,Suckers.

The henchmen step outside the window and fly away via Eggplant Wizard's Broccoli Copter.

Kevin: No! They escaped!

They hear Lyle within the wall. Simon unfolds the bed and Lyle pops out  and lands on the bed.

Lyle: (depressed) Some Keeper,I turned out to be..too weak and pathetic to protect the Key from a couple of bafoonish baddies. I'm a failure!

Lana: That's not true Lyle,you just need time to develop your skills.

Kevin: We gotta get that Key back,,before Tetris is doomed. Gameboy,you stay here and guard Lyle.

Gameboy: Affermitive!

Kevin: Let's go,N-Team!

As the N-Team leaves,Lyle is still depressed.

Lyle: I'm hopeless!

Meanwhile,inside the Tetrad Tower,Mother Brain[with her minions] uses the Key to open up the chamber to the Sacred Square. The trio enter the chamber and Mother Brain steals the Sacred Square.

Mother Brain: With this,I will rule Videoland,once again!

As the villains make their escape,Tetris starts to fall apart,due to the Sacred Square being removed from it's resting place. The citizens feel the effects and panic.

Back at his apartment,Lyle is also starts feeling the effects and panics.

Lyle: The Sacred Square Has Been Moved! No!

Gameboy: Danger! Danger! Danger!

Lyle: (determined) I Won't fail this time! C'mon,Gameboy.

As Lyle and Gameboy leave to save the day,The N-Team has caught up to Mother Brain and her minions.

Kevin: Not so fast,Mother Brain!

Mother Brain: Captain N! I'd love to stay and chat,but evil calls.

Mother Brain laughs evilly as she and her Minions escape. The chase is on,with the N-Team blasting falling 'Tetris' blocks along the way. Mother Brain traps the N-Team in a block tunnel,but Kevin manages to escape before it closed up.

Mother Brain and her minions find the Warp back to Metroid.

Mother Brain: There it is,The warp to Metroid! We're home free!

Lyle: Not so fast,Mother Brain!

The villains look up to see Lyle carying a big bucket and riding on Gameboy.

Lyle and Gameboy have come to the rescue. Lyle spills a black substance from the bucket over Mother Brain,causing her to cry out.

Mother Brain: (angrilly) You'll pay for that!

Kevin jumps down from a building and kicks the Square away from the evil Brain. Lyle catches it.

Mother Brain: (shouting angrilly) This Isn't The End!

The evil trio hightail it back to Metroid

Later on,after the Sacred Square has been returned,everyone is gathered at City hall. Mayor Squareski is about to honor the N-Team.

Mayor: In honor of your heroism,I Mayor Blockov Squareski,hereby declare this day,a Holiday,N-Team Appreciation Day!

Kevin: Ah,thanks,Mayor,but that's ok.

Lana: (to lyle) You really proved yourself a hero. I'm proud of you. I will be honored if you would join the N-Team.

Lyle: Because of the N-Team,I learned to conquer my insecurity. Thank you. As for your offer,I must decline. I'm needed here. Being the Keeper of Tetris' Sacred Square is a big job...a job that I'm proud to have.

The citizens of Tetris cheer and launch Lyle into the air.
